Navigate is opening applications for our in-depth Conflict & Justice Facilitation Training Programme, starting this Spring.
This is a full training & ongoing support and mentoring programme in Mediation and Transformative Justice Facilitation. The Transformative Conflict & Justice (TCJ) Programme will be for people who are really committed to learning and practicing this work, ongoingly, in communities and movements working for social and environmental justice. There will be a 2 day intro course, to begin to explore and integrate some of the principles this work is grounded in, and this will then be followed by an application process for places on a week long training that will follow. Participating in ongoing training, practice, peer support, and coaching/mentoring after the week-long intensive will also be a core part of the commitment. We want to actively welcome and support people of marginalised identities and backgrounds to come on this training and do this work. We are still figuring out some of the details, but applications are opening now for the weekend intros. If you know of people who might be interested, or have networks where it might be relevant to share this, please do pass it on. We're also considering running a separate training for those who want to feel more able to be supportive in relation to conflict in the groups they're involved in, without becoming a full TCJ Facilitator. If you are interested, please read this carefully, and then decide which of the different options you are interested in. Registrations close February 18th.

The course will take place online over a 4 week period in March 2024 with 4 main sessions and additional weekly practice sessions and will be led by Paul Kahawatte and Verene Nicolas. What is Convergent Facilitation & why learn it? Convergent Facilitation (CF) is a process for getting to a genuine agreement about how to move forward with any shared practical problem or disagreement. It's particularly transformative with highly polarized issues, helping people find practical ways forward that address what really matters to everyone involved, in an efficient way. CF has helped people in a range of contexts around the world reach creative solutions to complex challenges, where no-one loses or is left behind. The principles of CF can enhance any kind of group facilitation and collaboration. Where might you apply CF & who is this course for? We are keen to offer this training to people who have a clear context to put their learning into practice, and in particular to people who are actively engaged in:
